Kerataconus is an eye condition where the cornea becomes warped, harming vision. Mild cases can be treated with corrective lenses, and moderate cases can generally be treated using rigid or hybrid contact lenses that ensure the light is refracted properly. In severe cases, good vision is only possible with a corneal transplant. Contact us today to find out the best treatment plan for your eye health.

Dr. Bussa Answers Your Eye Care Questions
What types of contact lenses are used to treat kerataconus?
There is no one contact lens that is best for every eye. The best contact is the one that fits, is comfortable, and corrects your vision. This contact lens could be soft or rigid, or a hybrid lens. Sometimes scleral lenses are the best choice. During a contact lens fitting for kerataconus, based on various factors that are unique to your eyes, I will be able to determine which lens will be best for you based on my experience fitting many eyes with a similar condition.
